What is the purpose of this site? Well, to put it simply, it’s all about how to find a wedding photographer. In the new world of digital technology, the number of choices for wedding photographers has skyrocketed, and couples trying to swim this sea of options are getting more and more confused and frustrated. They ask themselves, “How do I know who to choose?”, “How do I know I’m making the right decision when I have so many options to choose from?”, or even “How do I know I’ve made the right choice and will be happy with what they give me?” After having seen and heard many couples ask these questions and get overwhelmed by all their options, I came to the decision to do something about it.
This site is designed around two features: a blog, and a book.
The blog is an interactive tool where couples, and other photographers, can read my posts on advice and tips, or contribute stories and experiences of their own in an effort to make this area of planning a wedding less of an enigma. Also, the blog isn’t just about finding a wedding photographer, but covers all aspects of wedding photography.
The book is a comprehensive guide containing all the information I have compiled on how to find a wedding photographer, based on my own experiences and research. I’ve been a wedding photographer for nine years, and have seen in the last three or four how couples are becoming more and more stressed by the growing number of photographers flooding the market. They often don’t know where to start or how to limit their choices, and the book will hopefully help put them on the right road.
Finding a wedding photographer is no easy task, and I hope this site will be useful to anyone who needs it.
PS – This site is a tool for helping others. If you have some advice or tips you’d like to share, please post them any time you like. However, if you have complaints or grudges against specific wedding photographers, please do not mention any names, or the cities they reside in. This website does not condone bashing anyone for spite. If you feel a couple is going to make a wrong decision and would like to contact them directly, please leave a comment for me in the blog, and I will strive to get in touch with them. Also, everything posted by me is based on my own experiences, accounts I’ve heard from clients and their families, articles I’ve read, and research I’ve conducted on my own. I am not privy to every aspect of this industry, and would like to state that this site does not speak for every photographer out in the market. Much of what I advise is common sense, based on my own knowledge and experience. If you find I am in error on certain points, please feel free to contribute your knowledge. I will be the first to say I will not be right about everything! Also, where applicable, all names have been changed to protect the privacy of my clients and contacts.
